The original Manor House underwent a complete transformation when the farm was bought in 2002. Today the building, which dates back to 1692, is home to Zorgvliet Wines Tasting room and it once again boasts a thatch roof to recapture the romantic facade of years gone by. The original homestead was saved from complete decay and specific attention was given to the conservation of existing structures. The preservation of the ceilings, which were restored after exhaustive efforts, lends a unique atmosphere to the Manor House. The previous time that the manor house was restored so meticulously was in 1860 after the house was virtually destroyed in a fire.
